Terms of Service & SMS Terms

Boat Mechanic Pro is a product of Southern AI Solutions, LLC. By using the app or receiving text messages through it, you agree to these terms.

The service

Boat Mechanic Pro is operations software for marine mechanic and repair businesses: scheduling, customer and vessel records, parts and diagnostic assistance, invoicing, payments, reviews, and customer messaging. Operators are responsible for the accuracy of the data they enter, for any parts or repair decisions they make, and for how they communicate with their own customers.

SMS messaging program

Program: Boat Mechanic Pro service messaging.
Description: Operators send service-related texts to customers who have provided their phone number — appointment confirmations, “on my way” and job-completion updates, review requests, and replies to missed calls.
Message frequency varies based on your service activity.
Message and data rates may apply.
Reply HELP for help. Reply STOP to cancel at any time; you will receive one confirmation message and no further texts.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Consent

Customers consent to receive these messages by providing their phone number to the operator when booking or requesting service. Consent is not a condition of purchase, and customers may opt out at any time by replying STOP.

Payments

Subscriptions are billed through Stripe. Plans renew monthly until canceled. You can cancel at any time; access continues through the end of the paid period. Except where required by law, fees already paid are non-refundable.

Card payments to your customers

If you turn on card payments, customer payments are processed through Stripe Connect, and you are the merchant of record for your own services. You are responsible for delivering the work, for any refunds, and for chargebacks or disputes raised by your customers. For each card payment we charge a platform fee (currently 1%)in addition to Stripe’s payment-processing costs, which are deducted from the payment; you may choose to pass those costs to your customer as a surcharge where the law allows. If a customer disputes a charge or your connected account cannot cover a refund or chargeback, the amount may be debited from your account or payouts. By enabling card payments you also agree to Stripe’s Connected Account Agreement.

Your account & responsibilities

You are responsible for keeping your login secure and for everything done under your account. You are solely responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter and for how you communicate with your own customers — including getting any consent required before texting them and following all applicable laws (such as the TCPA and other messaging and privacy rules). We may suspend or close an account that misuses the service, breaks these terms, or puts the service or other users at risk.

Your customers’ messages (indemnification)

Boat Mechanic Pro is a tool you use to message your own customers; you decide who to contact and what to send. You agree to cover and hold harmless Southern AI Solutions, LLC from any claims, fines, or costs that arise from how you use the service — including messages you send, the consent you did or did not obtain, and the business records you enter.

Ownership

The Boat Mechanic Pro software, its design, and the name and logo “Boat Mechanic Pro” are owned by Southern AI Solutions, LLC. Using the app does not give you any ownership of it. The business data you enter remains yours — we just store and process it to run the service for you.

No warranty

We work hard to keep Boat Mechanic Pro reliable, but it is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. We don’t guarantee the service will always be available, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose. You are responsible for keeping your own records of important business information.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Southern AI Solutions, LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — including lost profits, lost bookings, or lost data — arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the three (3) months before the claim arose.

Changes

We may update the service or these terms from time to time. If we make a material change to these terms, we’ll update the date below and, where appropriate, let you know in the app. Continuing to use Boat Mechanic Pro after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Florida.
